Solar PV in the Ballina Shire is cheaper than you think
The cost of installing a Solar PV system in Ballina Shire has fallen dramatically over the last 10 years. In that same time electricity costs have more than doubled. Australia has some of the highest electricity prices in the world. If you’re sick of the constant price rises, then investing in a Solar Power system is a ‘no brainer’. Premium Solar & Electrical would like to enable you to take advantage of these strong power savings and in doing so dramatically reduce your monthly expenses. Now is the perfect time to install your Solar PV system for either commercial or residential in the Ballina Shire and beyond.
People Power: Rooftop Solar PV reaches 3GW in Australia
Australia has passed through another significant solar milestone, reaching 3GW of solar PV this month, as Queensland nudged the 1GW mark and states such as South Australia reached household penetration rates of 25 per cent.
Phono Solar – Chosen for world’s largest PV Power Plant in Japan
Recently, Phono Solar, a leading strategic renewable energy provider in the world, has announced that it is contracted to provide the PV modules for the largest ground-based PV power plant in Yachimata,Chiba-ken, Japan, delivering 4.5MW high-efficient PV modules for this project.
Why the Northern Rivers is a mecca for solar power
The Northern Rivers in NSW is a mecca for the sun. Renowned for its beaches, weather and fresh produce it could become famous for its use of solar power. Due to longer daylight hours, Northern Rivers residents and business owners have a great opportunity to take advantage of all that sunlight by investing in solar panels for their home. Solar panels help slash costs on your electricity bills.
Hunt wants Australia to lead world in battery storage
Environment minister Greg Hunt says he wants Australia to lead the world in battery storage, in the same way as it has done so in rooftop solar.
“Solar and storage together are the future of electricity...we want to be number one in the deployment of battery storage. That will take time but this project again puts Australia right at the forefront.”
Solar: the new normal for a sunny country
HERE’S AN INCENDIARY statement: solar is ordinary. Really ordinary. In fact, it’s so ordinary that these days solar has become the new normal in our homes and in our culture. Soaring uptake rates are driving sky-high engagement in clean energy that is influencing people, policy and politics in ways we have not seen before.
Why sell it when you can store it?
Many are asking what now? We are used to using our electricity as we always have and receiving those credits to supplement or completely cover our power bill. Can our Solar system still give us significant savings on our power bill?
Half of all households to adopt solar: report
The Climate Council also found half of all households were predicted to adopt solar systems with battery storage, with the market potentially growing to $24 billion.
Mr Stock said the technology would be disruptive to existing network operators, and some companies were already altering the way they priced power to discourage solar and battery combinations.
“This is perverse, because battery systems, coupled with PV, can actually help networks get much better use out of their assets by smoothing out the demand on the grid,” he said.
Home battery storage to ‘revolutionise’ solar industry in Australia: Climate Council report
Coupling solar panels with home battery storage could be the cheapest way to get electricity within three years, according to a report by the Climate Council.
The environmental not-for-profit found battery storage would “revolutionise” the way Australians accessed electricity, allowing homes to become more independent of the traditional grid.
